Cluedo 1949 was the first edition of Cluedo released in the United Kingdom in 1949. Cluedo is a game for 2-6 players who play as suspects in the murder of Dr. Black at his home, Tudor Mansion. The object is to solve the murder by means of elimination and deduction. The winner must find out the identity of the murderer, the weapon that was used, and the room of the mansion of where it was committed.

Here are the differences comparing to Cluedo Original and this version.
- Renamed Colonel Yellow to Colonel Mustard.
- Renamed Nurse White to Mrs White
- Removed Mr Brown, Mr Gold, Miss Grey, Mrs Silver and Dr Black, so the game can only be played with at most 6 players.
- No victim is needed to be revealed at the start of the game. Dr Black will always be the victim.
- Renamed Pistol to Revolver.
- Removed Axe, Shillelagh, Bomb, Hypodermic Syringe, Poison and Fireplace Poker.
- Added lead piping, spanner and candlestick.
- Removed gun room.
- Cellar becomes inaccessible.
